This original oil painting is based on my family’s favorite “secret spot” along the outer banks of North Carolina. I have spent countless hours with my toes in the sound, watching the birds and enjoying the peace of a shady spot on a warm summer day.
The texture is rich and while it looks highly realistic from far away, when you get closer there is a very painterly feel to it.
